Instructions. You may begin your lesson by clicking on the "Next" button at the bottom of the page. You can stop at the end of any lesson and pick up with the next lesson by selecting it from the list at the left of the screen.
Test questions follow each topic. Select the answer you are most confident in and hit the submit button, which will send your answers to the Chief Umpire.
Wait . . . tests? Questions help us determine the effectiveness of this training and what we should focus on in class. Because rule books are not always ready when an applicant might take this class, we understand you are limited in your available knowledge. But you should be able to answer most questions with this training, and should not fret if you are uncertain of an answer. In class, we will review the questions, show you how to use your rule book to answer them, and go into a little more depth about them. For that class, please bring with you a copy of the questions (download a copy here) so we can discuss the answers in class.
NOTE: Due to programming issues in this release, which we hope to fix in subsequent releases, we are providing the following special instructions. After you check your responses to questions by clicking on the “check accuracy” button after a lesson, use the back-arrow key to return one page, then click on the “next” button to proceed to the next lesson. In addition, if you leave the online training and return to it later, it will not return you to where you left off and it will not save any of your responses, so submit any particular topic's test answers before moving on to the next.
